FLORENCE, SC – The Pee Dee IceCats have signed defenseman Jordan Popoff for the 2026-27 Season.
The 27-year-old Popoff quickly became a fan favorite in Florence, appearing in 41 regular season games with two goals and two assists along with 147 minutes in penalties. In his pro career, Popoff has appeared in 105 pro games with four goals and 19 assists for 23 points.
His biggest moment with the IceCats came last year in the playoffs against Athens, when he capped a three-goal, one minute and twenty-five second third period outburst that helped put away the Rock Lobsters in an eventual 8-2 win.
His signing now totals seven IceCats under contract for 2025-26, joining Vadim Frolov, Nick Gullo, Rasmus Asp, Parker Rutherford, German Shaporov and Charlie Bedard on the roster.
